Granny makes Rakhi emotional

Who can ever forget the unconditional love of doting grandparents, who pamper us rotten by stuffing us with our favourite food, who put us to Juhi Parmar with her grandparent.

sleep with stories of kingdoms far away and not to forget our loving shield that protected us when we were just about to get spanked by our parents?

These are fond memories that bring tears of joy in everyone’s eyes. So a piece of advice... this episode of Pati Patni Aur Woh is not meant for the weak-hearted.

With the teenagers gone, it is now time for the grandparents to come into the lives of our celebrities. A letter along with the photo of the grandparent ordained to stay with the couple was sent to the five homes instructing them to meet their guest at five for a tea party.

Shilpa and Apurva were delighted to welcome the green-eyed 90-year-old Susheela Pathak, whose photo Shilpa just couldn’t stop kissing! Our Ram and Sita 'jodi' had to greet Grandma Kaushalya Gangwani, a very surprising co-incidence indeed. Gurmeet believes that Kaushalya looks just like his naniji. Juhi and Sachin welcomed granddad Love Dev, who believed that he was a spitting image of Juhi’s dadaji. Both Gurmeet-Debina and Juhi- Sachin got emotional and couldn’t fight the tears as they remembered their own grandparents. Our sentimental Rakhi broke down whilst reading the letter and Elesh tries his best to comfort her. As for grandma Janak Rani Arora, who they are supposed to welcome, Rakhi couldn’t help but notice what a strong resemblance she had to her mother! Gaurav and Mouni gave a warm welcome to grandmother Vijay Laxmi Sabharwal.

Gurmeet and Debina get very emotional as they learn that their naniji Kaushalya, had lost her son in the bomb blasts at Sarojini market which brought tears to her eyes. When Debina and Gurmeet ask her not to cry she lovingly said that they are nothing but tears of joy as she can see a reflection of her own children in them.

Watch the celebrity couples in this emotional journey as they start building the foundation of a beautiful relationship.

'Reality shows are like T20 matches'

For many, Jamna Das Majethia, better known as JD, will flash across minds as the character of Himanshu he played in Khichdi. His latest venture is Sukh By Chance, where he is the producer.

Quiz him over his new project and he says, “It is the story of a middle class family who gets three crore rupees all of a sudden. This story is very close to my heart, as I too hail from a middle class family. I’ve tried to put lots of elements from my own life which I’ve observed when I was with my parents.” This story takes him back to his younger days.

Ask him about his upcoming projects, and he shares, “I’ve two-three more serials in the pipeline. Apart from that, we are shooting for a film but I can’t share the details about it. Also, I’ve been working on conceptualising a reality show, although I feel reality shows are like T20 matches and soaps are like ODIs or test matches.”

About the television soaps and shows on the prime time slot, JD feels, “It is very important to have family based shows that give clean entertainment and not like the shows where it is all about quarrels or fights in the family. I make it a point to keep my daughters away from such shows as I feel such serials are not good for them.”

We probe him on why there are so many new faces across the television industry and he says, “Television has its budget constraints and thereby, we cannot keep running after television stars who charge too high. Instead, if we as producers are getting a new face and talent, we prefer launching them in the soap. And television is a medium that accepts new talent very easily. And unlike films, a soap is not successful because of stars but because of its content.”

Gujarati culture and rituals seem to be followed very minutely in his serials and he asserts, “Sometimes I cannot relate to those Gujarati characters in certain films and serials that are introduced to bring in the humour element. I think that Gujaratis have a good cultural background – be it in art, drama, rituals. But some producers portray them in a very cheap way.” He signs off.

I'll beat 3 idiots in Bigg Boss: KRK

Kamal Rashid Khan, who was evicted from the Bigg Boss house because of his aggressive and violent behavior with his housemates, will be re-entering the Bigg Boss house as wild card entry. “Yes I am going tonight into the Bigg Boss house as the wild card entry.” confirms KRK.

According to him TRP’s of the channel went down after his exit. Thus the channel decided to get him back. “The channel got its highest TRP’s when I was in Bigg Boss but the day I went out, TRP’s became less. Now the channel approached me again and asked me to be there. I am sure this time the TRP’s will be higher than ever.”

KRK informed us that he followed Bigg Boss even after his eviction. So what is his strategy now? He said, “I will enter the house in a rocket. I don’t know whether the housemates will be happy, sad, or surprised by my entry but I promise cent per cent entertainment to my audience.”

He further explained that his entry will mean trouble for Vindu, Rohit and Raju who have been punished by Bigg Boss. “I am going to beat these three idiots. The audience will see how I will set them straight. They need to learn a lesson and I am the hero who will teach it to them.”

Of all the housemates, KRK thinks Bakhtiyar Irani to be a sincere person, but would want Pravesh to win the Bigg Boss title! “If not me then I would want Pravesh to win. He is very true by heart and doesn’t believe in bitching. But now I am going as wild card entry so you never know...,” he signed off.

Perfect Brides are actors!

Rahul Mahajan is gearing up for his swayamwar on TV. On all counts, he’s not the most eligible bachelor around! But, after the response Rakhi Sawant’s swayamwar got, the channel quickly decided to go into Season 2 and chose the controversial Rahul for this.

But are these shows for real? That’s the one question audiences are asking. Will Rakhi and Elesh Parujanwala actually tie the knot or have the viewers simply being taken for a ride? Well, even if the duo part ways, who’s to question, in any case!

The show’s over, isn’t it?
Whatever the reality of our reality shows, the fact is that marriage has become big business on TV today. Television rating points (TRPs) zoom during shaadi episodes even in serials. No wonder long elaborate wedding sequences are the order of the day. Channels too don’t mind spending heavily because they see the returns in the form of TRPs!

Seeing the trend, reality shows (Vivah, Perfect Bride and now Rahul Ka Swayamwar) too have decided to cash in on the wedding mania.

The institution of marriage clearly is commercialised and almost becoming a joke, feel many. Recently on a television channel it was revealed that Perfect Bride contestants were struggling actresses. In fact one of them, Priyanka Sharma, is a model and has briefly been a telly anchor and also acted in a movie.

Telly audiences, especially reality show buffs, are naturally agitated. “Reality shows should not play with people’s sentiments. It’s supposed to be reality, right? There has to be some amount of truth in it,” says Nikita Kocchar, a housewife.

TV host and producer Kanchan Adhikari too is alarmed at some of the reality shows of today, especially the ‘shaadi’ related ones. “It’s ridiculous. No doubt channels are competing with each other for TRPs, but they must keep public sentiment in mind. Reality shows should promote talent rather than make a mockery of institutions like marriage. There’s also a show where unmarried couples are raising kids. What are we heading towards?”

However, some feel reality shows, just like everything else on TV, should be taken with a pinch of salt. Says producer Manish Goswami, “Viewers should not analyse things. After a show is over they should not wonder if the the two participants will actually tie the knot or not. When the viewer has expectations then there are disappointments! Hence they should just enjoy the show.”

And what do TRP experts have to say? “Marriage as the basis of a show is not a sure shot formula for success,” points out a spokesperson for TAM, an organisation that measures Indian TV viewing habits. “One has to create the grandeur and aura and also there’s got to be the marketing and promotional boost. Only then will it work and yes, it has worked for some of shows.” He further adds, “The intelligent Indian viewer knows what he wants. It doesn’t take him more than a second to make a choice.”

No ‘skin-show’ = No show?

Hindi serial makers tend to copy from the big screen. And from the looks of it, Ajai Sinha’s Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des looks all set to follow in the footsteps of Satyam Shivam Sundaram, the film that made Zeenat Aman emerge as the sexist thing to walk planet Bollywood.
Newcomer Jaya Binju plays Rukmini, a pretty girl marred by a deformity, a la Zeenie baby in the film. But Zeenat was skimpily clad in short wrap-arounds and cleavage-revealing blouses, while Jaya is more traditionally dressed in ghagra-cholis, to suit the family audience. But then will the show hold viewers’ interest? Time will tell!

Shweta Tiwari, the tantrum queen!

Shweta Tiwari might be one of the most popular contestants on the third season of Comedy Circus but she is quite unpopular with the show's co-contestants and crew members.

“Throwing tantrums, refusing to rehearse and reporting hours late to the sets are just few of the things Shweta does,” reveals one of the contestants. On condition of anonymity, the contestant adds, “Shweta walks in late but she gets really irritated if she is made to wait even for a few minutes. She doesn't mingle with us and keeps to herself.” Another source reveals, “If she is chatting on the phone, she keeps others waiting till she leisurely finishes her conversation. Her mantra is 'Don't count me as everybody, I am Shweta Tiwari'. She has said so often to the production guys when they have asked her to be ready for a shot or when others are waiting to complete shooting. She behaves like an uncrowned queen even though she is not a big star. She is only doing Comedy Circus. Anoop Soni, who is a part of Balika Vadhu, which is such a popular show, is so good to everyone.”

We caught Shweta's teammate, Anoop Soni while he was busy shooting for Comedy Circus. “Shweta, Rehman (the third teammate) and I have started to bond during the shooting. So, I cannot comment on this,” he says.

Shweta sarcastically dismissed the story.

No boyfriend for teen, says mom Rakhi

With teenager Sakshi’s entry into the Rakhi-Elesh parivaar, it was evident that mayhem was expected. On day one itself, hell broke loose in the Rakhi-Elesh household with Elesh’s outburst at Sakshi for disrespecting the rules of their house. The otherwise cool and composed Elesh made it very clear to their teen that he is a no-nonsense person. However, while Sakshi got Elesh’s message loud and clear, she decided to try Rakhi’s patience. Sakshi had been ordering her parents around for quite some time and Rakhi decided that now it was high time that their teen begins to help around the house. While Rakhi was giving Sakshi a head massage, Sakshi ordered Elesh to cut an orange for her. Hearing this, Rakhi who was already annoyed, requested Sakshi to do things herself rather than commanding and ordering around. However, the incident that made Rakhi flip was when she requested her daughter to help her with the dishes, and the teenager refused to oblige. Little did Sakshi know that there was already a volcano waiting to erupt from within Rakhi. Sakshi went a step further to insult Rakhi, saying Elesh had seven girlfriends before Rakhi. That was it! This was enough reason for Rakhi to lose her cool and she demanded that Sakshi apologise to Elesh. Sakshi, who also lost her cool by then, used offensive and foul language, fuelling Rakhi’s anger. Hell broke loose when a heated verbal argument began between the mother-daughter duo, leading Elesh to intervene. Elesh managed to get the women to sort out their issues by talking to them. Rakhi explained that Sakshi needs to know how to run a household as well as be independent enough to stand on her own feet before wanting to have a boyfriend (which she believes is a waste of time and energy). She tells Sakshi that she is at a stage where she can’t even fend for herself so considering having a boyfriend should not be her priority at this moment. Sakshi compares Rakhi and Elesh’s relationship to that of a boyfriend and girlfriend and said that she too wants to ‘experience’ it all. This infuriates the already fuming Rakhi and she lashes out at Sakshi saying that she should never forget that she is an Indian girl and this is not her culture. The whole situation goes out of hand with both mother and daughter screaming their lungs out at each other. What will be the outcome of this argument? Will Rakhi order Sakshi to leave the house as Elesh had earlier? Or will Sakshi sober down and realise her fault?

Kamal Khan to return to Bigg Boss..

f Vindoo Dara Singh and Rohit Verma weren't enough to indulge in all the dirty politicking, plotting and planning inside COLORS' Bigg Boss, now we hear Kamal Khan is going inside it on Thursday morning to create more mayhem.

A birdie sitting outside Bigg Boss house tells us that he's
apparently asked for "forgiveness" for his uncouth behavior the last time around to Bigg Boss, and the channel in turn has accepted his apology and decided to pep up the proceedings by sending him again.

According to our source, "Kamal has already reached Lonavla and arrangements are being made by the unit to give him a grand welcome into the house".

Bakhtiyar Irani who has already predicted that "show ke khatam hone tak kisika khoon hone ke alava yahan baaki bahut kuch honewala hai" was possibly talking about Kamaal Khan.

Kamal has many bones to pick with Rohit who had faced his ire and the bottle, the former had flung at him which led to his eviction by the Bigg Boss, as all the other housemates had ganged up against him and wanted him out. So this time when he goes in, he has a lot of unfinished job to be done with the rest of the contestants.

While Tanaaz Iraani who Kamal couldn't stand is already out of the House, her husband and the others are still there with whom he can settle scores with. Interestingly, this week, Bigg Boss has thrown up six names -- Rohit Verma, new entrants Pravesh Rana and Vinod Kambli, Claudia Ciesla,Bakhtiyar and Aditi Gowitrikar for eviction -- and we are sure after Thursday, Rohit would pray hard to his Lord Krishna to be the chosen one by the janta.

Because this time, Kamal's bottle could just hit its target!

^^Love is in the air^^

Star One's Mile Jab Hum Tum soon will have new faces with the entry of a couple played by Anupriya Kapoor and Nishant Malkani and it will be their love story in the show. But off-sets also, love is in the air.

The latest buzz is that Mohit Sehgal (Samrat) and Sanya Irani(Gunjan) are dating each other.

An Indya source tells us, “We all have seen the duo getting too close to each other, when not shooting. They get along with each other very well and some times after pack-up they both go together.”

Further, our source tells us, “They behave in such a manner as if no one is looking at them. However, in the first phase, they had tried a lot to hide their relationship but now it can be clearly seen. Sanya sometimes does consult Mohit if she is confused even during rehearsals of the scenes and both help each other. During the lunch time, they just share their lunch together. About their rapport, they choose not to say anything to the media.”

Both were unavailable for the comment.

Love Ne Mila Di Jodi scores a century!

Star One's Love Ne Mila Di Jodi, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms, which got launched in June this year, completes its 100 episodes.

Tellybuzz got in touch with some of the actors …

Gaurav Khanna aka Prithvi says, "The journey till now has been fabulous. It feels like I'm going to college everyday because not just the cast but the whole crew is of my age. So every day is hilarious. If there's an off some day the whole day goes boring. I really enjoy the my on-set company. We make a lovely bunch (smiles)."

Gaurav further adds, "Thanks to this show, I've learnt horse-riding which is like one of the minor achievements of my life. I'm glad that people find me decent when I'm riding a horse as I've heard that to look civilized when riding a horse is indeed difficult. I also am happy that I've got a challenging role. Prithvi is totally opposite to me. I like to smile when I'm talking whereas Prithvi hardly ever does that. It's nice to surprise people with different roles (smiles).

Perneet Chauhan aka Avni says, "It's really nice to know that my first show has completed 100 episodes. It has been a great learning experience. I'm totally in love with my character – Avni. I am very much emotionally attached to her. These 100 episodes also mean lots and lots of handwork. As everyone is aware daily soaps are not a comfy way of working. Today I can definitely say I've moved a couple of steps further ahead in live."

Furthermore Perneet says, "All of the emotional scenes that I do, always touch my heart. Especially the scenes with my onscreen mom (Sujata Sehgal) and onscreen sister Damini (Chandana Sharma) are truly heart rending. In any scene with them where I'm required to cry, real tears start flowing. The recent Damini wedding too was a superb experience. We all had a great time."

The show was recently reported to go off air but thankfully it turned out to be just a rumor. And going by the successful completion of 100 episodes it only feels the show's still got a long way to go…

Jaskaran talks of his femme experience

Jaskaran Singh aka Dodo of Star One’s Miley Jab Hum Tum talks of his experience when he got into the skin of the opposite sex!

Jaskaran Singh who we all know as the funny and lovable Dodo of Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum, has taken us on a rollicking ride with his many spoofs. He treats us to another endearing one, this time with that of a very sophisticated lady!
原帖地址: Apnaindya - Home of Indians Worldwide http://www.apnaindya.com/forums/showthread.php?p=180

Jaskaran says, "It's so good that the creatives of Miley Jab Hum Tum keep coming up with one or the other spoof for Dodo. I've had a great time doing each and every one of those- especially that of Ghajini."

So how was this experience? "Well what to say, it was hilarious. Everyone has given an amazing response. Sania (Gunjan) went crazy. Navina (Diya) didn't know all this and wasn't even aware that I had gotten my make-up done. So when I was walking around with my full make-up, she didn't recognize me. When I sensed this I went up to her to talk and she got startled at first and then burst out laughing."

He adds, "It was tricky also in a way…if you know what I mean. So there I was sitting in a chair with people working on some extra padding. Lots of 'tissue paperwork', you see."

Thanks to this incident, Jaskaran came across some unusual compliments too. "My makeup person was showering me with compliments when he was doing my eye-makeup. He went on to say how it looked like that of a Bharatnatyam dancer and how I've been naturally gifted with long lashes which will save him the effort of sticking artificial eyelashes to my eyelids(laughs)."

It's not that I didn't get any offer but I was very busy with my short film titled Rehman Saheb ko phone karna hai and after it got completed I got a call from Balaji for this role. Kunal Karan Kapoor in Pearl Grey's show..

Kunal Karan Kapoor will play a pivotal role in Spellbound Productions' upcoming show on Star Plus...

The shoot of Pearl Grey's debut show tentatively titled Pratha which is to launch on Star Plus sometime in December is in full swing, and the entire unit is busy shooting for their first out door schedule in Allahabad.

Kunal Karan Kapoor who made a mark for himself in the television field with Left Right Left is back on television with this show. Kunal was last seen in Zee TV's Maayka.

According to our source, "Kunal plays a pivotal role in the show. However, we could not get much on the character he is playing. All we got to know is that his character is very important and hence, this is not the right time to divulge information on his character".

We called Kunal but he refused to comment.

In reply to our text message, Producer Pearl Grey replied to us, "Yes, Kunal is part of our show. However, I cannot disclose details right now".

Pooja Gor of Kitani Mohabbat Hai fame plays the female lead while new face Arhaan Behl plays the male lead. As reported earlier, the cast includes Shahab Khan, Avantika and Ankit Gera are part of the show.

The show is expected to launch in December at a prime time slot.

As reported earlier, the story is about Pratha, who is an educated and smart girl. She lives in a society wherein the girls of the family are generally married and sent off to their husband's place at a very early age, while it is the sons of the family who get all the freedom and status. The male lead who is the complete opposite of the girl is uneducated. The manner in which she encounters the guy of her life, changes his way of living, and transforms him into a better individual forms the crux of the story.

Amarr Upadhyay to enter Bidaai..

Amarr Upadhyay enters Star Plus' Bidaai as the successful lawyer who will defend Ranveer...

Star Plus and Rajan Shahi's Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai has reached a crucial phase wherein one of the protagonists Ranveer Rajvansh (Kinshuk Mahajan) has been arrested for attempt of murder.

The present track is very emotional with Ranveer and Ragini (Parul Chauhan) getting separated, just when Ragini gets the good news that she is pregnant. The Rajvansh family believes that it was the situation that forced Ranveer to brutally hit the goon, and they have decided to go to any extent to save their son from the clutches of law.

At this point, enters a very important character in the show who will be the lawyer appointed by the Rajvansh's to save Ranveer.

According to our source, "Talented actor Amarr Upadhyay will be playing the role of the country's most successful lawyer, who fights for Ranveer. His screen name is Dhananjay Singhania, who has not lost even a single case. The man is full of attitude, style and is emotionless, when it comes to work. When the Rajvansh's approach him for an appointment, he gives them a date somewhere in 2010, but he finally succumbs to accepting the case, when the politicians known to the Rajvansh family compel him to fight the case".

When contacted, Amarr Upadhyay confirms the news and says, "Yes, I play the very successful lawyer in Bidaai, who will be fighting to save Ranveer. Dhananjay Singhania is very stylish; he has a fascination for watches, clothes etc. He believes that this client Ranveer is innocent and it was the situation that forced him to commit the act. He will now scheme, plot and create certain circumstances to prove that his client is innocent. This is a very interesting phase in Bidaai. More than anything, my association with Rajan Shahi goes back to the days of Viraaasat; and when he gave me a call to take up this role, I accepted the opportunity".

Amarr Upadhyay's role is expected to go on for more than a month or so. He was last seen playing the obsessive antagonist in Sahara One's Doli Saja Ke..

Producer Rajan Shahi too confirmed the news of Amarr playing a powerful role in Bidaai. "Amarr has been a friend since the Viraasat days; he has always been part of all the success celebrations of Bidaai. This role of the lawyer is an author backed role, and Amarr was the perfect choice. He has started shooting, and is doing an amazing job. His entry will bring more twists and turns which will make the going very interesting".

Amarr Upadhyay has started shooting from yesterday, and his entry will be aired coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

Well, seems like Ranveer fans have finally got a reason to smile with the savior's entry into the show...
