Sameera gives KRK a ride!
Picture this! You are in deep sleep and suddenly you are woken up by the Khiladi Akshay Kumar! It’s a dream come true, isn’t it? The housemate are woken by the cast of ‘De Dana Dan’ – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Neha Dupia, Sameera Reddy, Chunky Pandey, Manoj Joshi and Sharat Saxena.
A pleasant surprise indeed! Everyone is shocked and at a loss of words. Vindu, who is a great friend of Akshay, jumps out of his bed and runs to give him a warm hug. Meanwhile, all the other housemates are completely awestruck by the presence of the glamorous star cast of ‘De Dana Dan’.
As the day progresses the housemates and the cast of De Dana Dan sit and chat over tea and snacks. Soon after Bigg Boss calls Akshay in the confession room and assigns a paper dance task – wherein each housemate is paired with the De Dana Dan cast. Akshay is paired with Poonam, Suniel is paired with Claudia, Neha Dupia is paired with Pravesh, Sameera paired with Kamaal, Chunky is paired with Rohit, Aditi is paired with Manoj and Bhakhtyar is paired with Vindu as Raju has been assigned the role of a referee.
The paper dance begins and soon everyone gets into the groove. Each couple stands on the double page of a newspaper and starts dancing on the piece of paper. After every round one couple gets eliminated. This continues till the time the paper is so small that the couple can dance only if one partner lifts up the other.
Usually it is always the male partner who picks up the female partner but in this case it happens the other way round – Sameera and Kamaal, who are a couple in this game complete the fifth round when the music stops. Immediately, Sameera picks up Kamaal on her back much to everyone’s surprise. Kamaal who is shorter than Sameera is completely taken aback but enjoys the moment of joy and happily gets lifted. Quite a sight indeed!
Although Suniel and Claudia were declared winners, its apna Kamaal aka KRK who wins the real booty – a ride on the back of gorgeous Sameera! Surely the housemates are going green with envy!

Rajan lost 10 kilos to look like Kasab
Actor Rajan Varma’s playing the man who, for a year, has been the focus of a country’s hatred...
Did you ever get discouraged after facing consistent criticism for playing Ajmal Kasab in the movie, Total Ten – Ashok Chakra?
I was selected after a gruelling audition, but when I saw the initial pics, I refused to act in the movie. However, the director showed me the script later and told me about the core messages in the movie. That’s when I was convinced to be a part of it. The film highlights the real meaning of the sacrifice made by our national heroes, lest the country forget. It also explains what jihad really means, shows Kasab’s ongoing mental agony and uses it to discourage youngsters from becoming fidayeens. Look at him, he prays for death everyday.
How did you prepare for the role?
I lost 10 kilos to look like Kasab, and also underwent basic combat training. I had to practice a bit of Punjabi as well, as the dialogues are mainly in Punjabi and Urdu. I also observed Kasab and the way he spoke.
Were you threatened during the film’s production?
Yes. In February, some people attacked my car and threatened me. I lodged an FIR and was given two constables for protection as well. But the attacks never deterred me.
Originally, the movie was supposed to end with Kasab’s hanging, but it was heard that the climax has been changed. True?
We have reshot the climax because there was an outcry against it. I can’t reveal much about it, all I can say is that the movie will only show what people want.
‘I want people to abuse my character’
So says Aroon Bakshi, who plays Pakistani mujahideen leader Maulana Masood Azhar in the film. “I will be extremely happy if people abuse my character. That way, my efforts in portraying the role earnestly will be applauded. I am playing one of the most hated terrorists in the flick, yet, I have sung a song for it with utmost passion.”

Taarak and friends get emotional
Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, the show on Sab TV, has been portraying the beauty and richness of Indian society and the strength of its togetherness very beautifully on screen.
But recently, there was a moment of contrast on the sets of the show which has become one of India’s most loved family comedy show. Replacing the usual bursts of laughter was deep silence and candles. It was a moment of solidarity with the nation as the entire cast came together to pay homage to those who had lost their lives in the terrorist attack of 26/11.
We talked to Dilip Joshi who plays Jetha lal and he said, “It has been a year since, but the wounds of those who lost their dear ones are still fresh. Though we have been bringing smiles to the audience through our show, we are taking a moment on this day to be a part of the loss of the families of the victims.”
Disha, who plays Daya, said, “We are one with the nation in expressing our grief. But looking through the Ooltah Chashmah (which is the spirit of viewing problems with a positive and different perspective), we must find courage in our pain and try to make this world a better to place to be in, in our own small ways.

Raju goes for Claudia's jeans!
The laughter express seemed to have taken a backseat. The otherwise happy-go-lucky Raju Srivastav is quite anxious today.
Usually his ongoing commentary entertains the housemates and the atmosphere is always light with him joking around. But today it just didn’t look like Raju was himself.
He was seen talking about leaving the house. In fact throughout afternoon he mostly kept to himself and kept staring at his family picture - perhaps Raju has begun to miss his family.
By evening the laughter king was back in his avatar and was seen pulling Vindu’s leg ... The housemates decided to play dumb charades to kill time and Raju donned the role of a barber and stated combing on Vindu’s bald head with a comb ... He then went upto Claudia with an iron and started ironing her jeans! That led to a roar of laughter amongst the housemates.
Way to go Raju bhai ... you are indeed the laughter medicine!
